How To Wrap A Saran Wrap Ball

What you will need:

• 1-2 Rolls of Saran Wrap
• Broom handle
• Money (in our case we chose money, but you can use whatever you want to go inside)
• Small gift boxes from the Dollar Store to hold money and other prizes

Begin by collecting all your supplies and prizes.  Since we made ours a money ball for our grandchildren, we made a trip to the bank and got a variety of bills--$1, $5 and $10. We also got a $100 dollar bill for the grand prize that was placed in the middle of the ball.

We decided to put a new spin on our Saran Wrap Ball and made it a money ball (who doesn't like money). As the layers of wrap are removed, boxes containing $10, $5, and $1 bills are revealed. So get ready to roll the dice and see how much money you can unwrap in the Saran Wrap Ball game! 

To make the wrapping easier, insert the broom handle through the hole in the roll of Sara Wrap. Then place the broom behind the legs of a chair as shown below

We placed the money inside small gift boxes with some containing only $1 bills, some $5 bills, some containing $10 bills, and the grand money box for the center was a $100. (We tend to get a little extravagant at Christmas!)

Saran Wrap Ball Gifts

Begin with the grand money box, rolling several layers of saran wrap around it. To form a more round ball, turn the ball while rolling and wrap in different directions as you continue rolling.

In order to make it more difficult. we cut the saran wrap and started wrapping in another direction.  We did this because our grandchildren are older.  For younger children, just keep wrapping and do not cut.

We continued wrapping and adding boxes until all the boxes were in the ball.  The more surprises, the more thrilling the reveal.

How To Play Saran Wrap Ball Game

1. Set Up the Game:
   Arrange players in a circle.
   Provide each player with a pair of dice and a container to roll the dice in. (We used a sturdy gift box.)
   Give the ball to the starting player.
2. Gameplay:
   The first player begins unwrapping the ball as quickly as possible.
   The player to their right rolls the dice continuously until they roll doubles.
   Once doubles are rolled, the unwrapping player must stop, and the ball is passed to the next player (the one who rolled doubles).
   The new unwrapping player continues where the previous player left off, and the next player in line rolls the dice.
3. Winning Prizes:
   Players get to keep any prizes they unwrap during their turn.
   The game continues until the entire ball is unwrapped and all prizes are claimed.
   The person who unwraps the final prize from the Saran Wrap ball gets to keep the grand prize and all of the prizes they have collected during the game.
   
4. Optional Saran Wrap Ball Ideas:
   Add a time limit for each unwrapping turn to increase the excitement.
   Use oven mitts or gloves to make unwrapping more challenging and fun.
